AXA Insurance today announced the launch of AXA Affiliates, a digital platform that enables partners to easily integrate AXA’s insurance solutions within their websites or apps. Partners with complementary offerings can use this one-stop, self-service platform to access AXA’s suite of tools to deliver seamless and customised insurance protection and assistance to their customers.
In November 2017, AXA Singapore became the first insurer in Asia to launch end-to-end insurance transactional APIs that made Insurance-as-a-Service a reality, providing customised risk management to customers when they need it and how they want it. Insurance-as-a-Service serves as the foundation of the AXA Affiliates platform.

By adopting a consumption-based approach to digital insurance, AXA’s aim is to create simple, compelling and flexible solutions and services with a lower barrier to entry, and to provide a truly omni-channel experience to meet increased customer expectations in the new economy. AXA Affiliates opens up access to AXA’s insurance solutions, and caters to digital players who face resource and cost constraints but are looking to enrich their customer value proposition and generate additional revenue.
The platform provides partners with the tools and dashboards to centrally manage their account, monitor product performance and track revenue to ensure full visibility. Leveraging AXA’s APIs, partners can seamlessly integrate several steps of the insurance purchase process – from prospecting, lead and quote generation, to policy issuance and support – with their customers’ journey.
At launch, AXA’s home, travel and motor insurance solutions are available on the AXA Affiliates platform. As the platform expands, it will extend to other lines of solutions.
End consumers can buy insurance as an add-on when they purchase a product or service on the partner’s website. For example, consumers can buy travel insurance while booking accommodation on a travel website or app.
With a focus on forging strategic collaborations, AXA looks forward to partnering small and medium businesses, including e-commerce players such as booking platforms and shared economy platforms, to change the way people get protected, by making the entire insurance buying and claims process as simple, fast and convenient as possible.
