AXA Insurance Launches New AXA Shield Value-Added Services for Greater Assurance and Peace of Mind

AXA Insurance today announced the launch of a suite of new and improved value-added services for AXA Shield, comprising a newly launched panel of General Practitioner (GP) clinics, higher Letter of Guarantee (LOG) limits, 24/7 LOG and a new E-member card which comes with added benefits. AXA Shield is an Integrated Shield medical re-imbursement plan designed to complement the Singapore MediShield Life plan.

An industry first offering among Integrated Shield Plan (IP) insurers, AXA Shield policyholders now have access to a panel of over 340 GP clinics with a large pool of trusted and qualified medical professionals across Singapore, in addition to the existing AXA Shield specialist panel of over 400 clinics. Policyholders can enjoy preferential consultation rates at the panel of GP clinics, with the added assurance that they will receive appropriate and high quality healthcare at reasonable costs.

As part of the suite of value-added services, policyholders also benefit from higher LOG limits if referred through the AXA Shield panel of specialists – up to a claimable amount or AXA Shield annual limit of S$1,000,000 for AXA Shield Plan A, S$550,000 for AXA Shield Plan B, and S$150,000 for AXA Shield Standard Plan; whichever is lower.

AXA Shield LOG is issued to policyholders prior to hospitalisation or day surgery at private hospitals or private specialist clinics with e-filing facilities. Once the LOG is approved and issued to the private hospital/ private specialist clinic, policyholders will have peace of mind knowing that they will not only receive waiver of the upfront cash deposit required upon admission, but their medical expenses will be fully covered by AXA. For hospitalisation or day surgery at public hospitals, policyholders can obtain a waiver of cash deposit directly at the hospital with an AXA Shield electronic LOG (eLOG).

AXA is also the first IP insurer to launch a new 24/7 LOG hotline which offers customers the added convenience and flexibility of receiving assistance whenever they need it, whether it’s to make a query on LOG, fix an appointment to see a panel specialist, or to arrange for a LOG.

To enjoy the full range of value-added services, AXA Shield policyholders will simply have to produce their AXA Shield E-member Card at panel clinics. The newly launched E-member Card also entitles policyholders to discounts at a range of health and lifestyle merchants.
