Corporate Responsibility

“I am a citizen and my company is a corporate citizen. I have an obligation to participate in society as a corporate member, and I have a moral duty to do something for the community that is not motivated by self-interest.”
– Claude Bébéar, Honorary Chairman of the AXA Group

Corporate Responsibility
Introduction

Six Pillars

As a company whose business is to protect people over the long term, AXA has the responsibility to leverage its skills, resources, and risk expertise to build a stronger and safer society. Our Corporate Responsibility (CR) strategy is to place it both at the heart of our business as well as day to day interactions with our stakeholders. It is through adopting a responsible behavior, as well as through sustainability added-value products and services, that AXA is able to most effectively participate in social, environmental and economic progress.

Our CR strategy rests on the following six pillars:

Main Findings for 2014

Do you feel unsafe driving on Singapore roads? If you do, you are in the majority. In our latest survey on road user behaviour, we found that 3 out of 5 feel that driving in Singapore is getting unsafe, and the top reason cited for this is that road users are getting more aggressive.

Continuing on our commitment towards road safety, we conducted a survey of over 450 road users in Singapore. In addition to understanding the attitudes and behaviours of road users, we also sought to find out more about the reasons behind unsafe driving behaviours and factors that might cause drivers to improve their driving behaviours.
