Employers’ Pledge of Fair Employment Practices

Our vision is to be the Preferred Employer. We understand by being a fair employer we will be able to attract, develop and retain valued employees and create a harmonious and inclusive work environment. With this, AXA signed the “Employers’ Pledge” with Tripartite Alliance for Fair Employment Practices (TAFEP) since 2007:

With a view to achieving this vision, the Tripartite partners – the Singapore National Employers Ferderation / Singapore Business Federation, the National Trades Union Congress and the Ministry of Manpower - have unanimously endorsed the 5 key principles of fair employment practices for implementation:

  • Recruit and select employees on the basis of merit, such as skills, experience and ability, regardless of age, race, gender, religion or family status.
  • Treat employees fairly and with respect and implement progressive human resource management systems.
  • Provide employees with equal opportunities for training and development based on their strengths and needs, to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Reward employees fairly based on their ability, performance, contribution and experience.
  • Abide by labour laws and adopt Tripartite Guidelines which promote fair employment practices.


AXA Insurance Singapore shares the 5 key principles of fair employment practices and is committed to adopting these principles in the management of our human resouces. We believe that the effective implementation of fair employment practices will bring about a more harmonious and progressive work environment within our organization, and contribute towards making Singapore a great place to work.

 

Awards & Accolades

 

This biennial award is presented by the Health Promotion Board to give national recognition to organisations with commendable Workplace Health Programmes (WHP). AXA Insurance Singapore was awarded:
Year 2006 – Singapore Health Award (Bronze Category)
Year 2008 – Singapore Health Award (Gold Category) & Corporate Fitness Award

 

 


The Approved Employer programme recognises companies with high standards of staff training and professional development.

AXA Insurance Singapore obtained the ACCA Approved Employer - Trainee Development (Silver Level) and Professional Development status. This status benefits staff who are members of ACCA. They are now not required to retain professional development records.
