Here is a list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) and answers which may be of use to you. We also provide an FAQ under each of our products. 1. How do I pay my premium?
There are various payment methods available. You can either send us a cheque made payable to AXA Insurance Singapore Pte Ltd or give us instructions to debit your credit card by completing the payment section which you can find on the proposal form of each product on our website or pay cash at our Customer Service Centre located at #01-01 GB Building. You may also pay your Road Tax at our Customer Service Centre.

 

2. Is there an administration charge for payment with credit card?
No, there is no administration charge.

 

3. What happens when premiums are not paid when due?
With the implementation of the Premium Payment Framework on 1st May 2005 by the Monetary Authority of Singapore, insurance premiums for all personal insurances have to be paid before acceptance of cover. For policies under monthly premium payment, if the premium due cannot be deducted from the credit card on the due date for whatever reasons, we will try again the following month. If this fails again, the policy will lapse and cover will cease.

 

4. How do I ensure that a specific person receives the death benefits from my policy?
You may do so by making a will and naming the person as the beneficiary in your will.

 

5. What is meant by “free look period”?
“Free look period” refers to the period within which an insured, if not satisfied with the policy for any reason, may return the policy for cancellation within 14 days of receipt. Any premium paid will be refunded in full and we shall not be liable for any claims occurring prior to the return of the policy.

 

6. Why do I need to extend my motor insurance to cover for the new road tax period that I am paying for?
This is a requirement by LTA to ensure that there is a valid insurance covering the full road tax period.
