Whether you are hospitalised in Singapore or while travelling overseas*, for a period not exceeding 90 days, Group SmartCare Executive works on the concept of payment per disability. This is unlike other health plans that impose a sub-limit on benefits, whereby any excess will have to be borne by you.

Example:
 
A patient undergoes an appendicitis operation and stays in hospital for 5 days, of which 2 days in ICU. It clearly shows that Group SmartCare Executive fully covers him for the total hospitalisation expenses whilst a regular sub-limit plan leaves him with excess expenses to be covered on his own.

Eligibility

Persons must satisfy the following to be eligible:

  • Adults from 18 to 65 year old (inclusive). Policy renewable up to age 72 subject ot yearly review.
  • Children from 15 days old to 18 years old (inclusive). Policy renewable up to age 25 (inclusive) if he/she is enrolled in an educational institution on full-time higher education, (and not in full-time national service).
  • Singapore Citizens, Permanent Residents of Singapore, Employment Pass Holders, Student Pass Holders, Dependant Pass Holders or Work Permit Holders.
  • Employment Pass Holders, Student Pass Holders, Dependant Pass Holders and Work Permit Holders must supply a copy of their respective pass or work permit and a bona fide residential address in Singapore.


What's Not Covered

  • Pre—existing conditions which refers to an injury or an illness which existed prior to the effective date of cover.
  • Any loss by terrorist acts using chemical/biological substances.
  • Other standard exclusions, eg. congenital conditions, suicide, pregnancy, routine physical examinations.
